CREATE Program

The CREATE Program (Cultivating Restoration, Engagement, and Achievement through Therapy and Education) is a trauma-informed, year-round initiative for disengage youth aged 13–19 in Douglas, Paulding, and Cobb counties.

We provide a safe haven and an alternative to traditional services for students facing academic gaps, instability, and elevated risk of dropping-out of school, exploitation or justice engagement.

The CREATE program delivers integrated support through:

• Academic Recovery: Credit recovery, tutoring, and college readiness.
• Well-Being: On-site licensed therapy, restorative mentoring, and our RLM Curriculum for emotional regulation.
• Enrichment: Workforce exploration, life skills, and leadership development.

CREATE's focus on positive relationships and identity development disrupts pathways to violence and exploitation, supporting healing and long-term achievement. CREATE delivers integrated support across two structured phases:

• Afterschool Program:
  • Participants can receive support 2–3 hours a week across the school year.  CREATE afterschool program offerings center on learning intervention and acceleration through tutoring,  restoration and wellness through individual and group therapy and postsecondary preparation.

• Summer Program:

• Create Summer is a 4-week summer free summer camp, program offerings center on learning intervention and acceleration structured through academic lessons, credit recovery, summer exploration opportunities (field trips), restoration and wellness through individual and group therapy and postsecondary preparation.

 Funding for the CREATE Program is provided through the generous support of the GSAN (Georgia After School Network) BOOST (Building Opportunities in Out-of-School Time) Grant, ensuring all services are offered at no cost to participating youth and families.
